Ever feel like you did everything "right" but something was still off and overall not feeling 100%?
I did after years of letting corporate burnout get the best of me. Despite the fair share of time and dollars on people, books and solutions that were supposed to help me live a more vital and balanced life, many products were making me feel worse and my self-care was still lacking.
I realized it was no laughing matter when the "not feeling right" turned into chronic emotional stress and pain that began showing itself physically. When I reclaimed my health, I truly realized how important self-care, the use of natural products and a mindful lifestyle were to achieving a balanced and vital life.
That's why, I've created mindoilsoul to to educate and empower us on tools for essential wellness so we can see and create real change in our lives.

WHAT ARE ESSENTIAL OILS?
They are called "essential" because they contain the essence of a plant, including its aromatic and wellness properties.
Essential oils are extremely popular worldwide, but what exactly are they? If you don't know, you aren't alone. In short, essential oils are concentrated, liquid plant extracts used for aromatic and wellness purposes. Essential oils come from a variety of plant sources, including flowers, grasses, bark, roots, trees, and leaves.
Essential oils are the aromatic compounds extracted from the seeds, bark, stems, roots, flowers, and other parts of plant through a distillation or cold pressed process. Essential oils are highly concentrated. They are 50x to 70x more powerful then herbs (1 drops of peppermint oil = 28 cups of peppermint tea!). They provide an all-natural health option to benefit our emotional, spirutal and physically wellness.
HOW TO USE ESSENTIAL OILS?
There are two main ways to safely use essential oils: aromatically and topically.
INHALING: Place 1-2 drops of oil in your hands and rub together, cup your hands over your nose and mouth and inhale deeply several times through your nose. You can also breathe deeply straight out of the bottle.
DIFFUSING: This is a great method to purify the air, boost your mood, and create an overall healthy atmosphere easily anywhere such as your home, desk at work or anywhere!
This is one of the simplest aromatic methods for using essential oils. Diffusers that use cold air or water are ideal to ensure the chemical structure of the essential oil is not compromised.
Simply add a few drops of an essential oil(s) of your choice to a diffuser.
OTHER EASY WAYS:
Apply oil to a cotton ball and place in your car air ventsMix desired oils with water in a glass or metal spray bottle to mist over furniture, carpet, bedding and clothes
Common Topical Methods:
Because every individual is unique, the dose will vary for each individual based on size, age, and overall health status. Refer to our Dilution Guide for recommend drops of essential oil (E.O.)
Ways to Increase Absorption:
Use a light massage to increase the blood flow to the area of application. This will improve distribution throughout the body.Use a carrier oil, like fractionated coconut oil, to increase absorption, especially in skin that is dry or flaky as it helps moisturize the skin and slow evaporation of the oil.
Beneficial Areas to Apply Essential Oils:
Bottom of the feet (This is the second most porous part of our body. Oils are within the bloodstream within 30 seconds)Base of the Neck and SpineInside the wristsChestForehead and Temples
Important: Be sure to avoid eyes and ears, broken, damaged or injured skin. Always dilute with fractionated coconut oil on children and apply to bottom of feet and spine.
HOW MANY DROPS TO USE?
Essential oils are highly concentrated. To dilute them, add your favorite carrier oil. This process will help "carry" the oils into the skin for better absorption, minimize how quickly the oils evaporate and spread further and protect the skin from irritation. See the chart below dilution guidelines.
